Day 1: Fakarava

After a short ride from the airport, board your charter yacht in the second largest atoll of the Tuamotus, Fakarava. Cruise from the north pass to the south pass, taking in the beautiful water and essence of French Polynesia. Go for a swim or snorkel, or choose to have a crewmember teach you how to kite surf. Enjoy your first night at anchor on the yacht’s sundeck feasting on Tahitian lobster and enjoying the tropical breezes.

Day 2: Explore Fakarava

Explore the deep lagoon while cruising around in the yacht’s tender, taking in the breathtaking sandbars and islets that paint the picture of French Polynesia as you’ve always imagined. After an afternoon beach picnic and short rest, don the scuba gear for an underwater adventure. A great spot for both beginner and advanced divers, the lagoon teems with coral and fish.

Day 3: Fakarava to Toau via the north pass

Departing the lagoon at Fakarava, cruise along the islets for a spectacular view of the island chain, keeping an eye out for marine birds’ nests as well as other incredible sea life. Another great diving area, take the opportunity to hop in for a dive with the majestic manta rays. In the evening, cruise to Rangiroa.

Day 4: Rangiroa

At 14 miles long by 10 miles wide, Rangiroa’s turquoise lagoon is the second largest in the world after the Maldives. With several luxury resorts onshore, indulge in a spa treatment or enjoy a romantic dinner at one of the several fine-dining restaurants. Make sure to get in the water and say hello to the friendly resident dolphins.

Day 5: Bora Bora

While your charter yacht embarks on the 10-hour cruise from Rangiroa to Bora Bora, hop aboard a seaplane for a quick flight to Bora Bora. Choose from one of the several beautiful world-renown resorts, including the Four Seasons and St. Regis, enjoying a variety of resort amenities and staying in one of the beautiful over-water bungalows for the night. In the evening wander into town and peruse several Marquesan art galleries or shop for famous Tahitian black pearls.

Day 6 & 7: Exploring Bora Bora

Meet your yacht and enjoy the day at anchor in Bora Bora’s beautiful lagoon. Go for a jet-ski ride exploring private coves and untouched beaches. Go for a dive with the manta rays, a horseback ride along the beach or a helicopter ride above the island. One evening organize a spectacular dinner with traditional Tahitian musicians and fire dancers for a memorable evening.

Day 8 & 9: Raiatea and Tahaa

Lying in the same lagoon, Raiatea and Tahaa are lush with vegetation and abundant spectacular views. With the knowledge of a local guide, take a 4×4 for a ride around the islands, visiting expansive pineapple and vanilla plantations. Sample exotic fruits and stop at various swimming holes for a refreshing escape from the tropical sun. If there’s time, visit a local pearl farm.

Day 9 & 10: Huahine

After an early morning paddleboard, head ashore for horseback riding along the beach. More adventurous spirits can choose to go scuba diving or surfing at one of the many great surf spots.

Day 12 through 14: Moorea

Affectionately known as Tahiti’s sister island, Moorea, like Bora Bora, hosts a good selection of high-end resorts and spas, boutiques and great dining. Golfing enthusiasts can enjoy the Jack Nicklaus Moorea golf course, hitting balls with wonderful views of the mountains and ocean. Surfing is also popular, so hop in and perfect those skills you’ve learned over the past two weeks! Between August and October be on the lookout for humpback whales during their annual return to the waters around the island. On day 14, leave Moorea for Tahiti.
