Explore the deep lagoon while cruising around in the yacht’s tender, taking in the breathtaking sandbars and islets that paint the picture of French Polynesia as you’ve always imagined. After an afternoon beach picnic and short rest, don the scuba gear for an underwater adventure. A great spot for both beginner and advanced divers, the lagoon teems with coral and fish.
Departing the lagoon at Fakarava, cruise along the islets for a spectacular view of the island chain, keeping an eye out for marine birds’ nests as well as other incredible sea life. At 14 miles long by 10 miles wide, Rangiroa’s turquoise lagoon is the second largest in the world after the Maldives. Make sure to get in the water and say hello to the friendly resident dolphins.
While your charter yacht embarks on the 10-hour cruise from Rangiroa to Bora Bora, hop aboard a seaplane for a quick flight to Bora Bora. Lying in the same lagoon, Raiatea and Tahaa are lush with vegetation and abundant spectacular views. With the knowledge of a local guide, take a 4×4 for a ride around the islands, visiting expansive pineapple and vanilla plantations. Surfing is also popular, so hop in and perfect those skills you’ve learned over the past two weeks! Between August and October be on the lookout for humpback whales during their annual return to the waters around the island. On day 14, leave Moorea for Tahiti.
