New England

With a variety of activities to choose from, there's something for everyone.

A yacht charter in New England is a charming, off-the-beaten-path alternative to the more popular summer yachting destinations of the Western Mediterranean and Caribbean. Boasting warm sunny days with cool ocean breezes at night, a cruise from Newport, Rhode Island, to the charismatic locales of Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket offers a glimpse into the region’s 18th and 19th century glamour, all the while enjoying the comforting taste of homemade New England clam chowder.

In Newport, explore the many awe-inspiring mansions, including the most famous estate of American Railroad magnate Cornelius Vanderbilt, which overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and is aptly known as The Breakers. You will find several mansions open for viewing, all showcasing ornate decor with gold, marble and platinum furnishings that will send your imagination soaring. At Martha’s Vineyard, sink your toes into the sand and indulge yourself at a local clambake, complete with succulent Maine lobster, mussels, clams and other local seafood. In Nantucket, hop on a bicycle and ride through the picturesque cobblestone streets in this once great whaling village as you imagine life during a time past.

Often overlooked, Maine is also a popular New England charter destination. With its hidden coves, serene anchorages and beautiful yet rugged coastline, Maine rivals Alaska in natural beauty. During the late summer and early autumn months, venture inland on a road trip and experience spectacular changing foliage, described by many as being a breathtaking portrait of “God’s work.”

New England and Maine are exciting charter destinations catering to both the elite jet set crowd and salty sailors alike. A history lesson in itself, you can marvel your way through seafaring museums or shop amongst ritzy boutiques offering nautical fanfare for the whole family (don’t forget to pick up your very own “Nantucket Reds”). For the nature lover in us all, search for breaching humpback whales, or marvel as harbor seals play along the shore. Mostly, discover an area where salty ocean air, early American nobility, hearty fishermen and brave lobstermen have created a region in the United States unlike anywhere in the world.
